Kellie Nail founded Polished Style to provide discerning women and men with the type of wardrobe advice and fashion acumen typically available only to celebrities. She believes that personal styling is about listening, asking the right questions, and helping people discover and then realize their own personal style. She brings her clients a unique combination of intimate knowledge of the fashion industry—international, domestic and local—together with a commitment to understanding each of her client’s individual needs.
“I work closely with my clients to bring out their own unique personal style. I want my clients to look and feel their very best. This does not mean imitating or looking like a certain celebrity or model. My goal is to custom tailor each client’s experience to fit their individual lifestyle, needs, goals, personality, and budget. The name says it all. I don’t transform clients, I polish them up.”
Kellie’s client-first approach includes a complimentary, three-hour initial consultation, which usually focuses on an evaluation of your closet and its contents. She will shop with you, personally, wherever you choose. New York? Paris? Milan? Right here in San Diego? Whatever style interests you, wherever that may be, Kellie will accompany you there and share her insight into what best reflects your personality and goals. And although the shopping may be done, her commitment to you is not. She will follow up to make sure you are happy with your look, image and personal style.
Kellie also does Professional Styling. She works with photographers and people in the fashion industry to style models, actors and others to look their best walking down the runway or in their professional photos.

It all begins with your initial meeting with Jeanine Wightman, our Director of Events. Jeanine is a certified Meeting & Event Planner, and has coordinated everything from corporate celebrations, trade shows and product launches to high-end fashion extravaganzas. She will work closely with you to conceive the type of event you are looking for. Then, she will draw upon her familiarity with the most sought-after venues, culinary and entertainment connections, and innate sense of what works. The result? A perfect combination of our ideas and your desires—and an event that exceeds your every expectation. From the moment it begins to the way it winds down, and every precious second in-between.
